Outdoor Kitchen Appliances
The best outdoor kitchens are built for entertaining, not just grilling. Add outdoor-rated refrigeration, side burners, sinks, warming drawers, and ice makers to keep everything you need within arm's reach.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which outdoor appliances do I actually need?
It depends on how you cook and entertain. A useful starting point:
- Refrigeration — almost universal; saves trips inside for drinks and prep
- Side burner — for sauces, sides, and anything you can't grill
- Pizza oven or warming drawer — if you entertain often or cook in batches
- Beverage centre — if your kitchen sees a lot of guests
Most outdoor kitchens start with a fridge and a side burner. Everything else builds from there. We can help you prioritize based on your space and how you'll actually use it.
What's the difference between an outdoor appliance and a regular indoor one?
Outdoor-rated appliances are built to handle moisture, temperature swings, UV, and the occasional spray from a pressure washer. They typically use 304-grade stainless steel, sealed electronics, and weather-resistant gaskets and components. A standard indoor appliance installed outside will rust, short out, or void its warranty — usually within a season or two. Always check that an appliance is rated for outdoor use, not just "stainless."
Can outdoor appliances drop into my existing island?
Most can, if your island meets two conditions: (1) the cutout matches the appliance's exact dimensions, and (2) the surrounding material is non-combustible (stone, tile, masonry, or stainless). You'll also need to confirm gas, electrical, and ventilation can reach the cutout location. Send us your island specs or photos and we'll tell you what fits.
Do you install outdoor appliances?
Yes. We install across the Ottawa/Gatineau area and coordinate gas, electrical, and water hookups as needed. Outdoor appliances often need specific clearances and ventilation — we'll handle the spec sheet so the install passes inspection the first time.
