Product Description

The Tungsten 500 puts out 43,000 BTU of radiant heat through a honeycomb mesh screen, enough to cover about 215 square feet, from a matte black stainless steel body that shrugs off years outside. Slow-release ceramic burners spread the heat evenly, and a patented screen and ionization probe keep it burning in wind up to 8 mph.

It mounts on a wall or hangs from the ceiling on an optional post, and the pivot bracket swings 25 degrees each way so you can point the heat at the table. Direct electric ignition lights it right away with no pilot light, so it needs a 110V connection as well as gas. If the flame goes out, it relights itself; if it can’t, it shuts off. Install it 8 feet from the floor to the underside of the heater, and add a heat deflector if there’s less than 42" of clearance above it or it’s open to the weather. Installation by a licensed gas technician.
