Product Description
The Sportsman 5 Series stacks 1,679 square inches of cooking space on five adjustable racks in a cabinet that takes up less than a square metre of deck, so you can load it with a few dozen strips of venison, a side of salmon or a full batch of sausage at once.
It's built to run low and long. The digital controller holds anywhere from 130°F to 420°F in 5° steps, which covers drying jerky at the bottom end and roasting a bird at the top. The 60 lb hopper carries enough pellets for the longest smoke you'll run, a 250-watt igniter gets it lit fast, and convection airflow with an adjustable smoke stack keeps the heat and smoke moving evenly across all five racks. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect it to the Pit Boss Grills app so you can watch the cabinet temp and the probe from inside, and the large window in the door lets you check the racks without opening it. One meat probe comes in the box, with three ports on the controller.
The body is heavy-gauge steel with a high-heat coating. There's a window on the hopper so you can see the pellet level at a glance, a cleanout for swapping blends, a rear-access grease tray for cleanup, and four locking casters so it rolls out of the way when the season's over.
