The 53 lb hopper holds enough pellets for about 53 hours of continuous cooking, so a weekend of smoking never comes down to a 3 a.m. refill. The PID controller holds the temperature steady from 180°F to 650°F, and dual-band Wi-Fi connects it to the recteq app for setting temps and watching the cook from inside. The control panel has push-button start and temperature control too, so the app is a convenience, not a requirement.
It’s built the way recteq builds everything: 304 stainless steel inside, down to the firepot and drip pan, with more stainless on the outside than you’d expect at this size, and a heavy-duty lid that wipes clean. The HotFlash ceramic igniter is rated for more than 100,000 lights.
