The fastest Thermapen yet. The NANO reads in 0.4 seconds, and it’s a true reading, not a guess the thermometer makes as the number climbs. ThermaBoost samples the probe 20 times a second while the temperature is moving, so you poke, read and close the lid before the grill has a chance to lose heat.
The screen is the other big change. It’s 300% brighter than before with a white LED backlight, and it rotates a full 360° so it reads right-side-up whether you hold it left-handed, right-handed or upside down over the grates. One button switches °F and °C, and holding it opens the sleep and resolution settings. Two magnets on the back stick it to the fridge, the smoker or the side of the grill, and the body is about 10% thinner than the Thermapen ONE, so it rides in a pocket.
Accuracy is ±0.5°F across the range you cook in, from a Type K thermocouple that reads at the tip. The housing is IP67 waterproof, so splashes, steam and sticky sauce rinse off, and one AAA battery runs it for about 1,000 hours. Each one ships with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
